PRODUCTION DESIGN ASSISTANT - Jorge Gomez
Jorge is a film production student at California State University, Northridge. Jorge was luckily born and raised in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. Growing up, Jorge did not have an ideal childhood due cruel children and his socially awkward personality. As a child, Jorge spent most of his time alone and found comfort in the escape movies provided from Jorge’s reality. As he grew older and spent more time alone, he discovered the camera and began to make his own motion pictures with toys, as well as attempted to document family gatherings and events.
While at CSUN he continued practicing photography, but later focused more on motion pictures when he was accepted into the Film Production program with an emphasis in cinematography. His experience
AC-ing on several productions, as well as an internship at a camera rental house, reassured him that the camera department in the film industry was his home. While still in school, he decided to dabble in other departments like the production sound where he learned about different types of microphones and recording devices, as well as editing.
Jorge is a hardworking, well-rounded individual and can make a dream written on paper into reality on the big screen. He hopes to use his creativity, knowledge of art history, and eye for the aesthetically pleasing to make this very unique film successful.
